The Plan
Fill in the gaps

The key departments in the Institute for Mineral Resources are the Department of Mining and Geological Engineering and the Economic Geology program in the Department of Geosciences. These two programs are already attracting the interest and support of industry, government, and alumni. Elevating the mineral resources education and research capability does not require a reinvention of its focus. Instead, efforts are need to better coordinate and finance those topics not current addressed by the University while modernizing the existing equipment and expertise. Success of this capital-raising program will result in a self-funding program designed to provide expansive studies for students leading to stronger recruitment efforts.
